Redesign of the Martinshöfe in Weingarten

A new and sustainable urban neighborhood for people of all ages is taking shape on the 3.7-hectare former Schuler site. The layout is inspired by the adjacent old town, with small clusters of buildings. There will also be attractive green open spaces, a walkable route to the city center for pedestrians and space for restaurants and businesses, all right in the heart of Weingarten.

As part of the Alliance for Affordable Housing, 20% of all apartments will be rent controlled for people on low incomes. The go-to contact will be the Neighborhood Manager, who serves as an interface with the municipal council.

Who we are:
presenting BUWOG

BUWOG can look back on more than 70 years of experience in the residential real estate sector and is currently planning and constructing around 55,000 apartments in Germany to meet the urgent need for new housing. We specialize in complex large-scale district development.

Our ethos centers around the idea of Happy Living. That means creating attractive new residential construction that is in line with environmental, economic and social sustainability. As such, we are pursuing ambitious climate protection objectives and creating open, vibrant and diverse neighborhoods that enhance their local areas.

Our new residential projects create living space for people of all ages, with a balanced mix of rental and owner-occupied apartments, and both subsidized and privately financed housing.

Housing-related infrastructure and facilities such as public playgrounds, green recreation spaces, cycle paths and businesses are factored in from the outset. We also build apartments for our own property portfolio, as a testament to our long-term commitment to these neighborhoods.

BUWOG is currently based at ten sites in Germany, including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Hanau. The Martinshöfe development marks BUWOG new investment in the Lake Constance region.
